Child Behaviour Disorders
Child behaviour disorders are disturbances in the typical behaviour of children that interfere with the child's ability to function in various aspects of life, such as family and school activities. They are usually associated with emotional problems, which can lead to significant psychological problems. Examples of child behaviour disorders include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Conduct Disorder (CD) and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). These conditions are highly important to identify and treat due to their potential to cause long-term adverse effects on a child’s development and well-being. Early intervention can help manage the disorder and improve outcomes for affected children. Therapies and medications may be used to manage symptoms and help the child develop better coping skills. Early identification, interventions and support from family, healthcare providers and teachers are essential for successful management of child behaviour disorders.
