Autopsy

An autopsy, also known as a post-mortem examination or necropsy, is a medical procedure conducted on a deceased individual. It involves a thorough examination of a body in order to determine the cause, manner, and time of death. Autopsies are performed by a medical examiner or coroner, and the findings are used to help establish the legal cause of death. Autopsies can also provide pertinent medical information to help guide treatments of living individuals with similar conditions and may prevent other potential deaths.
