Expert Witness
An expert witness is an important part of the legal system. They are individuals who possess specialised knowledge or experience in a particular field and thus can provide testimony in court cases related to that field. Expert witnesses may be presented by either the plaintiff or the defendant, and their job is to provide evidence that is relevant to the case and to help interpret facts. Expert witnesses are trusted by the court to give impartial, unbiased testimony based on scientific research, facts, established principles and their own experiences. They are often consulted in cases involving science, medicine, engineering and technology, and play a key role in the legal system in ensuring the right decisions are made.
