Livor Mortis
Livor mortis is a type of postmortem discoloration of the skin of a deceased person. It is caused by the pooling of blood under the skin due to gravity, and is seen typically after four to six hours after death. Livor mortis can be used to estimate the time of death, and can provide valuable information to forensic scientists and medical examiners. It is an important factor in determining the cause and manner of death.
