Physical Evidence
Physical Evidence is any object, substance or information used to support a scientific opinion or observation. It is often collected and evaluated during criminal investigations and scientific studies, as it can provide important insights into the scene of a crime or the cause of a particular event. Physical evidence can range from trace evidence (such as fingerprints, hair, soil and vegetation) to macroscopic items, such as clothing, tools and patterns of blood. It is a fundamental aspect of forensic science, as it can provide researchers with vital clues that can help to reconstruct or recreate a certain event and/or provide insight into possible motives. As such, the collection and analysis of physical evidence is a critical component of solving criminal cases and providing justice to affected parties.
