Biography
Dr. Shagufta Perveen (PhD, MSc, BSc) is a Scientist III at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in Madison, Wisconsin, United States. She obtained her Ph.D. from the H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi, Pakistan in 2009, and has conducted research on natural product isolation and structure elucidation using modern techniques. Her work includes the highly cited publication "Recent updates on the bioactive compounds of the marine-derived genus Aspergillus" (2021), which has been cited 60 times, and she has authored more than 28 indexed publications in ISI-listed journals. Dr. Perveen has collaborated with researchers in Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, Pakistan, and Italy, and serves as an editor for multiple journals and as a reviewer for many scientific publications.
