Diagnosis for Rheumatic Disorders
Rheumatic disorders are a group of chronic, painful conditions that affect the joints and connective tissues. Diagnosis is used to identify these conditions, which can range from mild to debilitating. Diagnosis involves physical examination, lab tests, and imaging scans such as X-rays, MRI, and CT scans. Other tests, such as blood tests, joint fluid tests, and biopsies may also be used to aid in diagnosis. Treatment options depend on the specific disorder and may include medications, physical therapy, lifestyle changes, and in some cases, surgery. Early diagnosis and treatment are key in managing symptoms and preventing further damage.
