Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis is a common, chronic disorder of the joints that occurs when the protective cartilage that cushions the ends of bones within a joint wears down over time. It causes pain, stiffness and swelling, which can affect everyday activities. Although there is no cure for osteoarthritis, the condition can be managed with medications, physical therapy, weight loss, and lifestyle changes. These treatments can help improve overall joint function, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.
