Osteoarthritis Diet
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a common form of arthritis which affects millions of people worldwide. A diet for OA focuses on certain nutritional elements, such as proteins and Omega 3 fatty acids, as well as promoting weight loss, which is known to reduce stress on the joints. A diet for OA may involve reducing the intake of processed foods and saturated fats, and increasing the intake of plant-based proteins, healthy fats, high-fiber foods, and foods rich in vitamins and minerals. Additionally, keeping hydrated with plenty of water and following an exercise plan can also help to reduce symptoms of OA. Eating an Osteoarthritis-friendly diet can help to reduce pain and improve joint mobility, as well as reduce the risk of developing long-term complications associated with OA.
