Polyarthritis
Polyarthritis is a form of arthritis that affects multiple joints. It is a chronic, inflammatory disorder that causes joint pain, stiffness, and swelling. The cause of polyarthritis is unknown, but it is believed to be an autoimmune disorder in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks its own healthy joints. Symptoms can range from mild to severe, and can affect any joint in the body, including the hands, wrists, knees, elbows, and feet. Treatment for polyarthritis includes medications, physical therapy, lifestyle changes, and in some cases, surgery. It is important to seek medical attention early, as permanent damage can occur if treatment is not started in a timely manner. Early diagnosis and treatment of polyarthritis can help improve the quality of life of those affected.
