Instinct

ive behavior Instinctive behavior is a type of behavior that is performed, without conscious thought, by an organism in response to a specific stimulus or situation. It occurs in non-human animals and humans alike, and is generally associated with responses to survival and reproduction. Instinctive behavior is usually associated with instinctive drives, innate responses, or an individual's predisposition, and is thought to be rooted in genetics. Instinctive behavior is an evolutionary adaptation that increases the odds for organism’s success in the environment. It is used in various ways, from recognizing danger to facilitating social interactions. The importance of instinctive behavior lies in the fact that it can be used by organisms to survive in their environment.
