Neurotoxicology

Neurotoxicology is a field of science devoted to studying the effects of toxins on the nervous system. It focuses on understanding how these toxins interact with the cells and molecules of the nervous system, their consequences, both in the short and long term, and how to prevent or mitigate these effects. Neurotoxicology is important in understanding how environmental toxins, such as air pollution, chemicals, and drugs, can ultimately affect the health of humans and other animals. It also has clinical applications, such as in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.
