Nicotine

Nicotine is a naturally occurring compound found in the leaves of tobacco plants and other related species. It has a wide variety of physiological effects, and it is the primary addictive component of tobacco products. Nicotine acts mainly on the central nervous system and affects mood, energy levels, heart rate, appetite, and digestion. It interacts with the body's endocannabinoid system and can lead to both physical and psychological dependency. Nicotine is also used as a medication to manage and treat certain medical conditions, such as smoking cessation, neurological disorders, and mood disorders. Additionally, it is used in various consumer products to enhance performance or alertness.
