Psychobiology

Psychobiology is the scientific field of study that examines the interactions between psychological processes and physiological systems in living organisms. It explores the relationship between psychological states, behaviors, and the biological processes that regulate them. It is a multidisciplinary field that bridges psychology and the biological sciences, involving research from the fields of neuroscience, genetics, physiology, pharmacology, and behavior to examine the biological mechanisms underlying mental phenomena. Psychobiology has many applications, such as exploring mental disorders, developing treatments for psychological disorders, exploring the neurological causes of language, researching the effects of drugs, understanding how stress and emotions affect physical health, and more.
