Workaholism

Workaholism is a form of addiction characterized by the compulsion to work excessively and beyond the normal requirements. It is a condition that can have severe negative consequences on health, relationships and quality of life. People with workaholism often put work above all else, leading to feeling of guilt, anxiety and stress. Treatment of workaholism may involve relaxation techniques, time management, and counseling to help identify underlying causes. Recognizing and addressing workaholism is essential as it can lead to burnout and poor health outcomes.

Behavioral therapy is an action-based therapy for positive behavior change. Other therapies tend to be more focused on delving into the past. In behavioral therapy, the past is still important as it often reveals where and when the unwanted behavior was learned, however it looks more so at present behavior and ways in which it can be rectified.
