Agricultural Biotechnology

Agricultural biotechnology is the application of scientific techniques and tools, including genetic modification, to modify and improve crops and livestock. It is used to develop new products, improve existing products, and increase productivity and efficiency of agricultural production. This can include genetic modification to improve nutrition, resilience to pests and diseases, resistance to extreme climates, and production of new materials, among other things. It is a field that has the potential to drastically improve food security, nutrition, and environmental sustainability around the world.
