Cytology
Cytology is the study of cells - the fundamental building blocks of living things. It involves examining the structure, shape, and function of all types of cells, from bacteria, fungi, and plants, to the cells that make up the human body. Through cytology, researchers can gain insight into the development and growth of diseases, as well as the cellular processes that are responsible for normal physiological function. Consequently, cytology plays an important role in medical diagnosis and treatments, providing critical information to help diagnose and monitor a range of illnesses and disorders. Additionally, cytology research has been used to develop new therapeutic agents and treatments, as well as to increase our understanding of the complexity of living organisms.
