Medical Implants
Medical implants are devices surgically placed into the body to replace or support a damaged or missing bodily structure or function. Examples include an artificial hip joint, a pacemaker, a cochlear implant, a stent, and a bone graft. Medical implants can improve quality of life by restoring mobility, enabling hearing, restoring organ function, managing chronic pain, and reducing medical complications associated with a range of medical conditions. They are an important component of medical care and are used to treat a wide range of physical conditions.
