Birth Weight
Birth weight is the weight of a baby at delivery and is an important indicator of the baby's health. Low birth weight is associated with an increased risk of infant mortality, childhood illness and long-term health problems. It is a strong predictor of morbidity and mortality, and is an important factor in public health and medical research. Birth weight is an important measure for health services to monitor and improve the health of newborns, as well as to identify at-risk babies for early intervention.
