Breastfeeding Relaxation Therapy
Breastfeeding Relaxation Therapy (BRT) is a holistic approach that encourages new mothers to relax while breast-feeding, helping to increase milk production and ultimately providing better nourishment and comfort for their baby. BRT includes physical relaxation techniques such as massage, breathing exercises, and visualization. Mothers learn to use these techniques both before and during the breastfeeding process to help reduce stress, calm the mind, and improve lactation. Studies have shown that the use of BRT increases milk quantity and quality, reduces symptoms of post-partum depression, and can help to establish a strong bonding between mother and baby.
