Postnatal Period

The postnatal period is the time period immediately following childbirth and can last up to several weeks. During this time, the mother and her baby undergo a period of adaptation and bonding, as well as physical recovery and healing. The postnatal period is an essential part of the birthing experience, as it allows for the establishment of a secure and healthy attachment between the baby and their parents. This period is also important for monitoring the baby’s physical and mental health, as well as for introducing the baby to their new environment. Postnatal care is vital for the long-term health and wellbeing of both the baby and the family.
