Stress
Stress is a physiological response to a challenging or difficult situation. It affects the body and mind in various ways, including increased heart rate, sweating, increased production of stress hormones such as cortisol, and increased reaction time. Stress can be beneficial by motivating us to face a challenge and making us more alert. However, too much stress can be detrimental to our physical and mental health. It can lead to exhaustion, depression, anxiety, and impair our cognitive functioning. Stress management techniques, such as meditation, exercise, talking to friends or professionals, and physical activity, can help to reduce stress and its consequences.
