Neoplasms/anatomy and Histology

Neoplasms (or tumors) are abnormal collections of cells that form when the normal process of cell growth is disrupted. They can be either benign (noncancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Anatomy and histology are essential for understanding neoplasms. Anatomy is the study of the structure of organs and tissues, while histology is the study of the microscopic structure of cells and tissues. Together, these disciplines provide information about the size, shape, and location of different neoplasms, as well as clues about their potential to spread or become deadly. A thorough understanding of neoplasms and their characteristics is essential for the accurate diagnosis, staging, and treatment of cancer.
