Anxiety Disorders
Anxiety disorders are a group of mental health conditions characterized by excessive worrying, fear, and unease which can be overwhelming and negatively affect daily life. They include generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Anxiety disorders are significant because they can cause a great deal of distress and interfere with a person's ability to function in daily life. Treatment for anxiety disorders can include cognitive-behavioral therapy, medications, or a combination of both. With the right treatment, individuals can manage their symptoms and lead normal, productive lives.
