Eating Problems
Eating problems are behavioural and psychological conditions which affect a person's attitude towards food and their eating habits. They can range from mild, such as overeating or disordered eating patterns, to severe, like anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. Eating problems have various psychological, emotional, and physical consequences on an individual. These can include malnutrition, low energy, social isolation, and serious medical issues. The most effective treatments for eating problems include psychotherapy, nutritional counseling and medication. Early intervention and support can significantly improve long-term outcomes for people affected by eating problems.
