Psychoanalysis

Psychoanalysis is a method of psychological treatment and an area of study that seeks to understand the psychological causes of mental and emotional disturbances. It is based on the idea that unconscious thoughts, emotions, and experiences can significantly influence a person's behaviour and personality. Psychoanalysis is used to explore the unconscious thoughts and feelings of the patient and can help to identify patterns of behaviour that can be addressed to bring about change in their life. It is particularly beneficial for people struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, and trauma. Psychoanalysis is also important for creating an understanding of how certain behaviours and characteristics are shaped by our unconscious mind, which can be beneficial for understanding relationships, improving communication, and for personal growth.
