HIV/AIDS and Immunotherapy
HIV/AIDS is a viral infection that reduces or destroys the body’s ability to fight off other infections and diseases, leading to serious health problems. Immunotherapy is an emerging and promising field of treatment for HIV/AIDS. It harnesses the body’s own immune system to fight the virus, so that a person is better able to manage or even in some cases suppress the virus. Immunotherapies can also help people living with HIV/AIDS stay healthy and potentially reduce the risk of transmitting the virus. The use of immunotherapies has the potential to revolutionize HIV/AIDS treatment and give hope to those living with HIV/AIDS.
