Gall Bladder Cancer
Gallbladder cancer is a relatively rare form of cancer that originates in the gallbladder, a small organ located underneath the right side of the rib cage. It is often asymptomatic and is usually diagnosed during tests for other medical conditions. Risk factors include a family history of gallbladder cancer, chronic inflammatory diseases,long-term use of certain medications, and certain hereditary conditions. Common signs and symptoms may include jaundice, abdominal pain, and weight loss. Treatment options include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Early diagnosis is key to increasing the chances of successful treatment and improving patient prognosis.
