Targeted Therapy for Colorectal Cancer
Targeted therapy is an increasingly effective form of cancer treatment focusing on specific molecular pathways within the cancer cells. It is used to treat colorectal cancer, an often deadly form of cancer that affects the large intestine. Targeted therapy works by disrupting the molecular pathways in the cancer cells that make them grow and spread. This type of treatment is usually combined with other treatments, such as surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation therapy, with the aim of targeting and destroying only the cancer cells. Targeted therapy for colorectal cancer has been successful in killing cancer cells, slowing the growth of cancer, and prolonging the life of patients with the disease. This treatment offers patients a better chance of surviving the disease and has been shown to be effective in combination with other treatments.
