DNA Virus
DNA viruses are the most common type of viruses and they contain DNA as their genetic material. They are the largest group of viruses and are responsible for a wide range of diseases in humans, animals and plants. These include colds, influenza, rabies, herpes, smallpox, chickenpox and wart viruses. DNA viruses cause some of the most severe and dangerous diseases, including HIV/AIDS and Ebola. They can also be used in gene therapy for treating genetic disorders, recoding DNA for research, producing vaccines, and producing gene-edited crops.
