Epedemiology
Epidemiology is the study of the distribution, causes and control of diseases in a population. It helps to identify risk factors for diseases, allowing public health officials and medical researchers to develop strategies to prevent and treat them. It is useful for the development of evidence-based public health interventions and policies, as well as for evaluating the effectiveness of such interventions. It is a cornerstone of public health practice, as it helps to understand and reduce the incidence and prevalence of disease, promote health and well-being, and study the impact of disease on individuals, families and communities.
