Hiv Vaccines
HIV vaccines are a form of immunization that are designed to protect individuals from becoming infected with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). HIV is a virus that causes AIDS, a life-threatening and chronic disease that is currently incurable. HIV vaccines provide an alternative to current treatments for HIV and may, in the future, help to prevent new infections. They are an important part of public health efforts to reduce the spread of HIV, especially in areas where access to preventive measures such as condoms and antiretroviral drugs is limited. HIV vaccines have immense potential to save lives and reduce new infections, and research into their development is ongoing.
