Jaundice
Jaundice is a yellow discoloration of the skin and eyes caused by an excess of bilirubin in the body. It is commonly caused by abnormalities in the liver, gallbladder, or pancreas, such as hepatitis or gallstones. Jaundice can also be a symptom of other more serious conditions, including hepatitis and cancer. Early diagnosis and treatment of jaundice is important as it can lead to serious complications if left untreated. Treatment is tailored depending on the underlying cause and may include antidiarrheal medications, antibiotics, or surgery. Early treatment of jaundice can help prevent long-term complications and improve prognosis.
