Virion

Virions are the infectious particles of viruses. They consist of genetic material surrounded by a protective protein shell. Virions are important in understanding how viruses replicate, spread, and cause disease. They are also essential in developing vaccines, designing antiviral treatments, and gene therapy. Virions can also be used to produce nanomaterials and transfer DNA into cells. By understanding virions, a variety of biological and medical advancements can be made.
