Gangrene

Gangrene is an infection of tissue caused by a lack of oxygen and circulation. It often occurs in limbs and extremities, such as fingers, toes, or limbs due to lack of blood supply and can lead to permanent tissue damage and even death if not treated. Gangrene is a serious medical condition, and prompt medical attention is needed to help reduce the risk of complications and long-term damage. Doctors may recommend treatments such as antibiotics or surgery to help reduce the risk of gangrene. Early detection and a combination of at-home care methods such as keeping the affected area clean and elevated can also help reduce the risk of complications.
