Itching
Itching, also known as pruritus, is an unpleasant skin sensation that causes an urge to scratch. It can be a symptom of many medical conditions, including allergies, infection, and skin diseases such as eczema or psoriasis. In addition, it can be caused by environmental factors, such as chemical exposure or dry skin, or even by psychological factors, such as stress or anxiety. Itching can be difficult to manage and can cause a great deal of distress. Treatment options may include medications, lifestyle changes, or topical creams and ointments to alleviate its symptoms. Understanding the cause of itching is important in order to determine the best course of treatment.
