Teledermatology

Teledermatology is the use of telecommunication technology to provide dermatology care from a distance. It is a relatively new method of diagnosing and treating skin issues that allows dermatologists to examine, diagnose and provide treatments for patients in remote locations. This allows for faster diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions such as allergic reactions, psoriasis, and photoaging. Additionally, teledermatology can reduce the costs associated with in-person dermatology visits, while still providing quality care. Teledermatology is particularly useful in providing care to remote locations, reducing costs, and increasing access to care. It is also a valuable tool in improving patient satisfaction with the dermatology care they receive.
