Chemical Kinetics
Chemical kinetics is the study of the speed at which chemical and physical processes occur. It is a branch of physical chemistry that considers the rate at which chemical reactions take place and the factors that affect that rate. Chemical kinetics plays a key role in many areas of science, from industrial processes to biological reactions. It can be used to determine the rate of a reaction, the optimal conditions for a given reaction, and the overall energy of a reaction. Understanding the principles of chemical kinetics allows for the efficient and cost-effective engineering of chemical systems for a variety of industries, and for the better-informed design of pharmaceuticals and other products.
