Crystallization
Crystallization is a process where a substance, such as a solid or a liquid, is converted into solid crystals. It is a major part of the overall process of material purification, which involves the removal of impurities from the material. Crystallization is a widely used technique in various industries such as biotechnology, food processing and nanotechnology. In biotechnology, it is used to purify proteins and antibiotics. In food processing, it is used to separate sugar from syrup, and in nanotechnology, it is used to manufacture nanostructured materials. Crystallization can also be used in the analysis of mixtures of substances, as it allows for the separation of components in a mixture.
