Proteomic Databases

Proteomic databases are collections of information related to proteins, typically the sequence and biochemical properties of proteins. They are essential resources for biologists and biochemists, as they provide insight into the molecular structure of cells and organisms, and allow researchers to explore the interactions between proteins that are involved in many biological functions. Proteomic databases also provide useful data for drug design and other medical applications. By allowing researchers to compare proteins from different species, these databases enable researchers to gain a better understanding of the evolutionary relationships between species. As such, proteomic databases are an invaluable tool for researchers in fields such as genomics, biochemistry, and molecular biology.
