Anaerobic Bacteria
Anaerobic bacteria are microscopic organisms that are able to survive and thrive in environments without oxygen, such as the deep oceans, sewers, and the digestive tracts of animals. They are highly specialized organisms and are very important in biogeochemical cycles, meaning they play an integral role in many of the processes that maintain balance in the environment. Anaerobic bacteria are also used in many industrial and agricultural applications, such as biogas production, fermentation, waste treatment and soil amendment. With their incredible ability to break down organic matter and produce energy, anaerobic bacteria are essential for sustaining life on Earth.
