Bacteriophages
Bacteriophages are viruses that infect bacteria. They are an important tool in biology as they can be used to control bacterial infections. Bacteriophages are also used in biotechnology, where they are used to produce proteins, enzymes, and other molecules that can be used in therapeutic and diagnostic products. Additionally, bacteriophages can be used to diagnose and treat bacterial infections. Finally, they may have potential applications in cancer therapy, gene transfer and gene therapy.
