Chromosomal Dna
Chromosomal DNA is the genetic material found in the nucleus of all cells in living organisms. It is composed of long strands of chemical sequences called nucleotides. Chromosomal DNA is what codes for the instructions, or genes, that determine the physical characteristics and behaviors of an organism. It is passed down from parent to offspring and is responsible for the similarities and differences between organisms of the same species. Chromosomal DNA is essential for the continuing evolution of a species. It is unique for each individual and can be used in forensics, genealogy, and genetic engineering.
