Genetic Toxicology
Genetic Toxicology is a branch of toxicology that studies the effects of chemical agents and radiation on the genetic material of living cells. It aims to assess the potential risks of exposure to such agents and to understand the mechanisms underlying their actions. The knowledge gained from genetic toxicology is used to identify environmental and workplace risks to human health, develop safe and effective medicines, and to evaluate the safety of consumer products.
