Genetically Modified Organisms

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) are living organisms whose genetic material has been artificially manipulated in a laboratory setting. GMOs are used in a variety of industries, including agriculture and medicine, as they allow scientists to easily and quickly introduce desired traits into a species. For example, GMOs have been used to develop disease resistant crops and create medicines to treat previously untreatable illnesses. Due to their versatility and potential for dramatic results, GMOs have become a major tool for research and development across many different industries.
