Molecular Genetics
Molecular genetics is the study of the molecular basis of genetic variation within and between species. It deals with the structure and function of genes, their interactions with other genes and their environment, and the processes that lead to the formation of genetic traits. The aim of molecular genetics is to understand and manipulate the inheritance of genetic traits and to develop diagnostic and therapeutic tools for genetic diseases. It is a key tool for understanding biological processes such as development, evolution, and the function of the human body in health and disease. Molecular genetics is used in a broad range of areas, from medicine and health care to agriculture and ecology.
