Rotavirus

Rotavirus is a highly contagious virus that causes severe diarrhea in children. It is the leading cause of gastroenteritis (stomach flu) among infants and young children worldwide. It is spread primarily through contact with fecal matter, by person-to-person contact and via contaminated surfaces, food, or water. The virus can lead to serious dehydration, hospitalization, and in some cases, death. Vaccines are available to help prevent rotavirus, and medical treatment can help provide relief from the symptoms. It is an important part of childhood health and should not be taken lightly, as it can be very dangerous.
