Whole Genome Amplification

Whole Genome Amplification (WGA) is a process used to generate many copies of an organism's entire genome from a small amount of genomic DNA. WGA has a wide range of applications in the fields of biotechnology and medicine, including diagnosis of genetic diseases, forensic analysis, paternity testing, and personalized medicine. It is also used to study rare and ancient genomes, such as those of extinct species. WGA is a highly useful tool for researchers due to the fact that it enables them to obtain large amounts of genomic material from a single sample quickly and efficiently without the need for additional sample collection.
