293t Cells
293T cells are an immortalized, human embryonic kidney cell line (derived from the 293 cell line) that are commonly used for research, such as cloning and production of recombinant proteins. They are considered a key tool for molecular and cellular biology research, as they are highly efficient for transfection and stable for expression transient transfection. Additionally, 293T cells are able to replicate recombinant viruses, which can then be used for vaccine development. Thus, 293T cells are of great importance for researchers, in particular those involved in the development of therapeutics.
