Mesoderm

Mesoderm is the middle layer of cells that develop during the embryonic stage of growth in animals and humans. It plays a vital role in the development of organs and the formation of body cavities. This layer of cells gives rise to the muscles, bones, blood vessels, and connective tissue, as well as cell types that go on to form organs such as the heart, lungs, and kidneys. Through the process of cell differentiation, cells in the mesoderm become more specialized, and this is essential for normal development and functioning of the body.
